Listening to the rangers postgame, sour (Franking) grapes! Dave Quinn wanted more power plays and referenced the Blues “Getting away with what that team does.” Last check the Blues only got one power play. The refs pocketed the whistles, it is what it is. Have your team ready to play the game.

I get if he's commenting on what Scandella got away with, but that's just one thing. The Blues don't normally "get away" with stuff, so it is an asinine comment.
The Rags, being a young team, before tonight, have had the 3rd most penalties called against them, yet the Blues only got one PP tonight.
Meanwhile, with the same before tonight caveat, the Blues are middle of the road for the NHL being 19th in penalties called against them.
What's interesting - is PIMs/Gm are way different than PP Opportunities Against. Basically, the Blues don't take majors. Meanwhile, Rags have the most PIMs/GM in the league, while the Blues are 25th.

It seems the Avs think so too. We'll have to do something about that.

So according to the colossal moron that is Larry Brooks, the Rangers should have gotten a power play every time the wind blew, then Quinn makes his comment in the post game about the Blues being "allowed to do some of the things they do".
I especially like the gem at the end: "They have won eight straight games and kind of think this brand of hockey is thrilling.". Well yeah, winning is thrilling so there is that.
Look, Larry, the Rangers are primed to be a powerhouse in the east for a long time. They rebuilt right and have the prospects and draft capital to make sure that they have sustained success. The incessant whining by him and also by Quinn is kind of lame though.

It's not like the Rangers are one of the most penalized teams in the league, yet only had one penalty called against them.

Looking forward over the next few weeks, the schedule looks rather friendly:
New Jersey
Chicago
Florida
Anaheim
San Jose
Ottawa
Let's see how high this current streak can go, and try and put some distance between us and Colorado.

Per some stats dude, the Blues have the easiest remaining schedule in the league. Meanwhile, the last place Detroit Red Wings have the hardest. It's feasible they could go winless the rest of the season.

I’m not crazy about how easy the schedule is. Good opportunity to win a bunch of games, sure. But also a good opportunity to get lazy and pick up some bad habits just in time for a playoff series against a team that’s been busting it to get a wild card.

Well, they do face Carolina, Washington, Boston and Colorado in the final 2 weeks of the season, so there's plenty of prep work in those 4 games.
