Rivs/Hogs or Blues/Hawks swap players

Post by blueline »

The Rivs/Blues made a goalie and D change. We shipped out Toivonen and D-man Danny Richmond for Rockford Icehogs D-man Daryl Boyle and Goalie Joe Fallon.

Armstrong also headed to St. Louis on a call up.

Is this a sign of "things to come?" With the trade deadline looming (about 37 hours or so...) don't be surprised with ANY transaction.

I've been wondering which players have been asked to waive their NTC (no trade clause) during the Olympic break....

Armstrong is up because of Walt's pinky. But I suspect more trades are coming. I wouldn't be surprised if we made a move with the Canucks. Scott Mellanby has been a regular in Peoria as of late. Based on the level of scouts in the stands the last two weeks, I would say the Blues are sellers at the trade deadline.
