Hilarious.
I know.

I have done that myself but it was on the couch during a zillion pitches and foul balls!

When I'm sitting at a baseball game, before deciding if I'm having a good time, I usually think about whether somebody else likes baseball. If they don't, then I guess I'm not having a good time.

Mike Evans in as entertainment reporter that is heard on HUNDREDS of stations all over America. He mentions stories that are interesting and provocative.

I just heard a poll today on another station that only 28% of Americans consider baseball their favorite sport. Mike Evans isn't that big of a fan and he has the right to report on what a coma inducing experience a baseball game is.

Great story. My paternal grandfather was a USNA grad and served in WW2 and Korea. Hence, my official stance is that mine is a Navy family. Good luck to the "kid" in the show. Hope he sees a lot of success.

The Amazin's win again! 11 game streak now and a weekend subway series with DeGrom and Harvey getting game 1 and 2. If this team isn't, at worst, 15-4 after Sunday night, I'd be shocked. In spite of all the injuries, the pitching staff looks fantastic, as predicted. The hitting, also as predicted, kind of stinks. But wow, the staff is getting business taken care of.

That's some start they've had. Crazy to think that .500 ball the rest of the way gets them an 86 win season. I mean, it's April 23. Don't want to get too carried away, but its' really early to be 10 games over .500 and I expect them to play .500+ ball from this point out.

Waino most likely done for the year. On the bright side, last time that happened, we won us a World Series.

ugh, yeah, this blows. They'll know how severe it is tomorrow. No idea what the timeframe is for a minor tear, but if it's a full tear, he's done this year for sure.

In related news, Cole Hamels rumors are about to heat back up.

Waino. Torn achilles. 9-12 months. I don't think we need to finish the year. We know what the worst weekend in STL sports is in 2015. Or if we don't, it's going to be a long year.

Wouldn't this qualify for the "bitching" thread?

Well, as far as Waino's arm goes...maybe this will be a good thing in the end.
He had pitched a ton of innings the last few years. And now with this Achilles injury, he won't be throwing until next year.
Could be good for prolonging the life of his arm. I suppose anyway.

It's not very often where the Rams had the best weekend of any STL sports team, but that just happened.

So that's the trick. Do nothing. :)

If doing nothing was the trick, the Blues would still be in the playoffs. :(

That is definitely the half-full outlook on it. I'll take it. Sucks for this year, but if he threw another 230IP, maybe we're losing him next year instead.
