Miller and Wainwright in a pitcher's park could be pretty scary.

I'm very interested to see Lyons. He had a 4.47 ERA in AAA this year which isn't far from his career ERA. But, his peripherals suggest he is getting unlucky (good K-rate, good HR-rate, good BB-rate, high BABIP). But, his peripherals have always suggested that. So, he might be an example of a flaw in sabr stats.

A lot of people thought it should have been Wacha. Mozeliak is downplaying it, but I think it being before June 1 basically trumped everything. I bet Wacha comes up if they need somebody later on unless Lyons gives them a reason for it to be him. Then again, Wacha has very little pro-experience. He might benefit from staying down a little longer.

2 of 3. It has been nearly a month since we lost a series (April 26-28 vs Pittsburgh). And, we've only split one series during that time (2 games vs Cubs), and have won 2 4-game series.

I love that we've built a little cushion for ourselves (not in the divisional standings, but winning percentage), because probably losing both Westbrook and Garcia for the year could be a challenge.

Lyons looked really good last night, btw. But, it's just one game vs a shitty team in a pitcher's ballpark. He doesn't need to be nearly that good for him to keep that job though. I'll be curious to see if they make a switch to Wacha at some point.
