Went to a Chinese Buffet for lunch with some of the guys from the office.
This was the tip I left on the table...along with the fortune from the cookie.

I'm always conflicted with what to do at a buffet. You serve yourself, for the most part, so all that's actually being done for you is the plates are being cleared (hopefully) and sometimes they bring you the drinks, other times you have to get your own, like at the Old Country Buffet. At a Chinese buffet, I'd tip the guy who kept the Chinese donuts tray full. If I go up and there's none left, I get a bit ornery. Still, it's nice to know that when you've returned from your 3rd trip to the buffet, the plates from trips one and two are cleared. If they were keeping up with the table clearing, I'd say douchebag. If they were falling behind and you had to keep moving shit around to make room, then I'd say funny.

It's funny. But when Douchebag is an option, it needs to be voted for.

I wasn't referring to the dollar value of the tip. My bill was like $8...so I felt the amount of the tip is perfectly acceptable for a buffet lunch.

I was talking about the fortune left on top of the $1 tip.

Well in that case, funny. Did everyone else in your party leave a tip?

I assume so...actually, I'm almost positive everyone left something.
