Still hasn't happened yet, since there was one hit in the game.

Oh for crissake you Cardinals fans are something else. There have been myriad blown calls in baseball history to the point that it's part of the game. There's no "1" in the hit column, regardless of the fact it should have been a hit. Ergo, it's a no-hitter.

Dude, I was kidding, thus the green smiley face. I'm happy and I really don't care that the Cards got no hit. It's hard to believe it's been since 1990 that they had gone without being no hit. Really, I like Santana and I'm happy that after all this time, he threw the no hitter at home.

Funny thing...I never DVR Cardinals games. Just randomly, I did tonight, more for Carlos Beltran's return than anything. Little did I know I was recording a no hitter. Pretty sweet.

Anytime anyone throws a no hitter it's awesome. I really am happy for the Mets and their fans, just joking around with my previous post.

Chill out, home slice.

I wish it was against somebody like the Cubs (wait, that would be insignificant), I mean the Reds, but I'm happy for him. My roommate is a diehard Mets fan and I'm a little young for pond scum memories, so I'm happy for him. It's cool as hell that a pitcher who was once dominant, but faced injury issues, accomplished this at age 34. There are plenty of players that would just be collecting a paycheck in his shoes.

Eh just saying on yahoo's game recap there was an awful lot of sour grapes. A lot of great feats in baseball have been accomplished with the help of human error, just as disappointment has occurred because of human error. It's just a part of the game. Shit happens. Even Beltran wasn't angry about it. He said himself, would one hit have made a difference in an 8-0 game? It's not like it's a major moment in a world series game in, say, 1985...

meh, I don't think it really takes away from how he pitched. no-hitter, 1-hitter, either way he was dominant. I didn't want him to get it because I'm a Cards fan, but bad call or not, Cards didn't have an official hit, so good for him.

I look at that missed call as a need for instant replay more than a need to put an asterisk next to his accomplishment.
