More details this weekend, but he was sent back to St. Louis for a 2nd opinion on a nerve issue in his neck. No word on the severity yet, but this has the potential to be a huge injury.

bleh, I thought we were looking at a very minor setback when he threw BP and said he felt OK. I guess he didn't feel OK the day after or something.

Lynn has been lights out during ST. I got to watch him throw 3 scoreless innings last Wednesday which was the start of something like 19 consecutive batters retired. But, even if he's an adequate replacement in the rotation, that's a pretty significant blow to the bullpen.

The Cardinals have a history of pitcher's having 'minor' injuries and then 'setbacks' that end up being long term injuries. Their medical staff sucks.

I've heard speculation that this is career ending for him. I really hope not, but if it is, is there a better last start to make in a career than winning game 7 of the World Series?
