I watched a lot of tv as a kid...cartoons mainly on Saturday mornings and after school, but I was also outside A LOT...especially during the summer. My brother and I rode our bikes all over town, all day long. We'd come home for lunch and head back out again and we had to be home before the street lights came on. I remember racing the lights as they turned on one by one on the long street leading up to our house.
When I got a bit older, I was playing sports all day long. A couple summers it was lots of tennis and baseball, and then that changed into lots of hockey...lots and lots of hockey...which after I started playing hockey, that's mostly what I played. We'd play all day long on Saturdays/Sundays at the park. The town had built us a roller hockey rink to keep us off of the tennis courts...I guess the tennis players complained.

Speaking of cartoons... how about this...

Your favorite Saturday morning cartoons?
It just isn't the same anymore with cartoons. You can watch them any time you want on a half dozen different stations. But back in the day, the Saturday morning cartoon lineup was what I looked forward to all week. I would get up, without an alarm, at like 7am for cartoons...the Lone Ranger would be on and as soon as that was over, that signaled the start of the cartoons.

I remember dragging our nets across the highway, across the field and onto the tennis courts only to be told by security we weren't allowed to play there. Frustrating. But yes, I spent a glorious amount of time outdoors. Kids today are glued to tv's, phones and video games. That's a trend that needs to stop. Saturday morning cartoons are great, but not hours and hours on end.

I didn't know what in the hell a rhombus was.
My son did this too! I don't know where he learned it. He was 4, and we were waiting in a long line to get seated at a restaurant. My mother-in-law was trying to keep him entertained by pointing out shapes on the bench we were sitting on. "Look, here's a diamond." "Grandma, that's a rhombus!"

Finally managed to come back :D

By kids I meant people as a whole, in a semi-funny way :)
But great input nonetheless, will start watching most that I didn't know of, or haven't seen yet. Cprice I really loved those cartoons you mentioned in pics, or at least half of it that were shown in Hungarian tv, still have the urge to go and binge watch some of them at the age of 26! Don't think child cartoons will ever be that good. But this could be just the nostalgia haha

I'm actually going to try my luck in writing for tv shows, cartoons, sitcoms, sketches, all that type of stuff, so this topic is by far my favourite here so far :okman:

So... season 2 of Fargo has been absolutely brilliant. Fantastic. I think it's the best show on tv...at least that I have seen.

I thought season 1 was great. But holy hell...season 2 is better.

I convinced my wife to start watching season 1 and we started that last night...I'm enjoying rewatching it. I forgot how intense episode 1 of season 1 was.

She seems to really like it.

Anybody watch The Man in the High Castle on Amazon this weekend?

Pretty amazing set dressing, and still trying to puzzle out what the ending meant.

Binged the first 3 seasons of The Americans over the past few weeks. Season 4 isn't on Prime yet unfortunately. It's really really good. I get lost here and there and have to rewind, but it's excellent. Can't wait for season 4 to be available.

The Night Of on HBO is 3 episodes in. I don't see how it can last more than a copule of seasons, but it's great. If you like murder mystery type things, it's worth checking out. I think it was supposed to premier a couple of years ago, but got pushed back, maybe because of James Gandolfini's death, not sure. He's an executive producer.

I watched that awhile back. I liked it, but was slightly underwhelmed. I don't have any specific criticism, but just felt slightly disappointed. The premise is amazing though, possibly better than any show on TV right now. Setting the bar so high might be why I was slightly disappointed though.

Stranger Things on Netflix? Pretty good weekend of binge-watching on that one. Loved all the nods to the movies I grew up with.

I love watching Tv shows because movies take time to release in a good print and they are for sure a great source of entertainment but for a little time whereas tv shows entertain you for long. I'm currently watching "Peaky Blinders" recommended and "Eurphia" "not recommended" and completed Breaking breaking bad "highly recommended" last weak.
