I normally don't have a problem because i'm on early enough before the queues get bad, but today i logged out for 2 1/2 hours to watch the blues game so yeah...

lower pop servers are for losers anyway :P

I'm on Ursin which is one of the lower pop servers out there.. I wouldn't trade it for anything.. Messed around with some of the old-school servers like Laughing Skull, Tichondrius, but the community on my server is unbeatable. Oh and I've had a queue a whopping once before.

ACtually, the guy who was going to get the world first for 80 got banned at lvl 79 and sent back to lvl 70. Blizzard determined his method of lvling was an exploit - although he was lvl 79 in under 16 hours of play.

There is a video on youtube from him describing what they did. It was pretty cool actually, and he even asked blizzard if what he was doing was legal. He shows screen shots of a GM giving him the green light, then at the end of the video he shows another GM stopping his instance and banning him and his friends.

They were mob tagging in an instance, but really, really doing it well. They were full clearing their instance in 14 minutes over and over until lvl 79 when they had to switch instances because the guy stopped getting XP from the mobs. Apparently the only issue blizz had with the mob tagging was that they were doing it in the instance rather than outside where they could be ganked.

How can you do mob-tagging in an instance? I thought mob-tagging meant people out of your party killed mobs that you tagged? If it's in an instance and they're not in your party don't they get ported?

I've seen things like that before I think. I think (at least in stocks that is what they do) they almost kill all the mobs and train them to the entrance leaving consecration and other things to finish the mobs off after most of the people in the instance leave. Once they leave the instance, all of the exp goes to whoever is left inside. The problem is, how could they hurt the mobs enough to where one person and whatever AOE they left behind would finish them off? These are still 70+ elites and there were, obviously, no really high levels to help them out. Do you have a youtube link?

I'm off work today and I'm skipping my night class... So I'm done for today.

I'm thinking about reactivating my account and upgrading to WoTLK. I have a 70 dwarf priest with an epic flyer just sitting idle.

Goddamn it. I (franking) hate WoW.

Is it a central time server? If so, I'll transfer there.

EDIT: It's PST. I'll still transfer.

Is Detheroc a free transfer-off server? I know a lotta higher pop ones right now you can leave for free, but I think Detheroc is considered middle of the pack population-wise. Just don't tell anyone alliance you're friends with me or you'll be ostracized.

Ha. Noted.

And no, Detheroc isn't.

Is your server low population?

Yeah, it's considered low pop.. I've see it classified as medium from time to time so I think it's in the middle.

first, the intro instances in regular mode are complete easy. A complete joke if you are in full T5+ gear. I ran nexus first time and AOE'd 10 mobs at a time with my group. Easy. Mode. Hell, I solo'd mobs with pet tanking in there.

Second, these guys were in full T6/Sunwell gear and gemmed/chanted for pure damage not tanking or healing. You could not have better TBC gear than these chaps had. They spent hours planning this on the Beta and testing their methods, they had speed pots to run faster all day, 300 mana pots each, food, etc, full bags ready to go non-stop hardcore. They only stopped to train a couple of skills - ones that would drastically increase their damage out put and speed the process.

Finally, their strat was simple: The group enters the instance, they kick the paladin (specced ret/prot hybrid) who then tagged groups of mobs, the rest of the group and he AoE's the mobs to death, they reinvite the pally before he is ghetto hearthed. If you have ever left a group to ghetto hearth, you know there is a lag on when you get actually booted. The mobs die in this window, the pally takes all the XP. Kick, tag, AoE the next cluster, reinvite... rinse and repeat for 15 hours.

Installing as I type...

I better become hooked again.

It seems as though priest gear is much more balanced this time around. I'm considering abandoning shadow and going for holy/disc if the damage is decent enough to adequately solo through Northrend.

I totally burnt myself out after last weekend and haven't played seriously in 5 days now.. I'm hoping to get back in this weekend and have 80 w/in a week but we'll see.. I also keep breaking to heal stuff on my priest.. I went holy (not doing any questing) and am LOVING it.. I mean I've done raiding as a resto sham and most of the time I loathed it (also hated that to heal 5-mans your gear had to be top notch which since mine was an alt it never was.. despite having a couple pieces of t2 in the day).. Holy is so capable of healing though and so many cool abilities that it's a lot of fun.. And you can put together your own style a lot more opposed to shaman where it's pretty much spamming chainheal.

Holy kicks major ass.
