DMB & Black Crowes to play Busch Stadium

The Cardinals sent out a press release this afternoon about it.

I do believe the date was June 7th.

I've seen DMB numerous times, but none compare to the "Two Step In the Rain" concert at Giant Stadium. Sweet lord that was the greatest encore performance ever. The timing of the thunderstorm to coincide perfectly with the beginning and the end of Boyd's solo was amazing. Nothing can top that night. It was so perfectly timed we actually thought it was planned for a minute, and then realized it's an open air stadium and it was actually a torrential downpour.

DMB band is great live, but who wants to go to such a huge venue? I saw DM at Jesse Auditorium in Columbia and The Black Crowes at the Blue Note. Much more manageable than Bush-frickin-stadium.

I take it you guys in the midwest don't particularly care for DMB.

If it makes you feel any better, I don't listen to them with anywhere near the frequency I did when I was in college.

Dave Matthews blows. I saw part of one of his concerts (I was there for work) and the only good things I can say are: he has good catering, his sound guys are cool, he seems to treat his staff well and is pretty friendly, and there were a lot of nice looking girls at the show. Of course this was in So Cal, so that's probably true of every show there.
