Oregon is a cool place. Went up there last summer to see a friend who was interning there.

I need to take a trip up to Oregon one of these days. I've never been there, even though I've been in California for almost 12 years now...

Once the season ends you can have Tek Janssen pull you up this way in the rickshaw.

The clinic is downtown, by where 405 crosses the river. What's a good neighborhood to live in nearby? Vancouver, WA?

Sounds good. We might have to stop and beat some ass on the way up there, but I'm pretty sure Janssen can average around 30-40 miles per day...if we leave now, we'll be up there in April

We can use Janssen as sort of a roadside attraction. We can charge people money for the chance to fight him. I don't think he's got much going on in the near future - so why don't go go ahead and leave this week.

Awesome! My company sponsors Dove Lewis and gives many donations. In fact a guy who works for me sets up our donations every year.Allblues555 wrote:My wife just got a Veterinary residency (she is interning in Tampa) at Dove Lewis Hospital in Portland, OR.

Portland is a great city. Very accessible and many things to do. That location is a great part of town.
Seriously, PM me with any questions you have. Or I can give you my email as well. I absolutely love this area.
I'm sensing a Blues Hockey party this coming fall.

I know there was an issue with teen runaways awhile back and there was a documentary on it. But honestly, I'm in the city alot and it is the safest city I know.

Re: Leaving Tampa Soon
I heard it was ground zero for the meth culture of the 80's and 90's.
But what I want to know is are there any colleges and universities of note? I can't seem to find anything but some Catholic parochial and small technical colleges.
I can't get work at either of these.

Not sure what subject you are looking for, but here's a quick list:Allblues555 wrote:I heard it was ground zero for the meth culture of the 80's and 90's.

OHSU is the medical school.
Portland State (PSU) - big university downtown
Pacific University - famed for their physical therapy program
University of Portland - private
Reed College
Lewis and Clark College
George Fox University
OSU and OU also have some extension in the area as does WSU in Vancouver.
Let me know your subject. My gf graduated at PSU and currently works at OHSU.

I'd think the ones to target would be PSU, Reed or Lewis & Clark.
No hippy vagrants in my neighborhood. Hippies that drive Volvos - yes:-)
