Blueline29 wrote:OK, I dig the Versus commercial for the playoffs, the one that starts out something like, "1985: Wayne Gretzky makes 'The Great One' sound like an understatement;" however, it bothers me that they say that in 2001 the Cup engraver finally had to learn how to spell "Bourque," which is in flagrant disregard of the fact that Phil Bourque was a member of the Pens from '87-'92.
another thing that struck me as a little weird is that weight is in there with gretzky, messier, and bourque. i love weight, but he aint really on their level.
you're right, he's ABOVE their level.

did anyone catch mtvnews and their riveting exclusive coverage of the virginia tech tragedy? heres a little excerpt:

sway: did the fact that you was knowing the guy who did this make it scarier?

student: uhhhhhhhh.... well we are really worried about our friend who was his roommate.

sway: ok lets go to a question from one of our viewers on his webcam.

viewer: did you feel more dangerous after you found out who did this?

Larry King's coverage last night wasn't much better. He was interviewing one of the students (of 4) who was fortunate enough to get out of the German class alive. LK asked, "Did you see anyone get shot?" The student replied that, unfortunately, he had, and LK responded, "Well, how was that for you?"

[IMG:68:78]http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u68/ ... ackman.jpg[/img] Just once, I'd like to see someone come back at him with an "Are you f*ckin' serious?!" when he asks one of these friggin' retarded, insensitive questions.

Aside: We really ought to make the above pic the Official WTF?! Emoticon of BNF©. :)

"Soundscapes" (Channel 933 on Music Choice - Charter Digital) is very soothing background noise for working late on incredibly monotonous busy work. Normally I go with 934 - Classical Masterpieces...I rocked the boat tonight and my employer will be the better for it.

In the words of the gone-but-not-forgotten Ted Ferguson, Bud Light Daredevil...

"Put THAT on my review!"

I'm trying to learn the leads to "Don't Fear the Reaper". I've known how to play the part for the rhythm guitar for about 25 years. I figured it was time to learn the rest. It is one of my all-time favorite leads, to one of my all-time favorite songs. Buck Dharma rules! More cowbell!!!

Random observation:

Being forced to pay a monetary value in order to graduate. Paid money to get in... paid money to get back out... sounds like a cruel trick to me.

The other day, this crazy old woman asked me to drive her to the hospital, because she had gangreen in her feet and needed to get them cut off. When I told her that she obvioulsy had no problem walking to my house, so her feet couldn't be that bad, she just looked at me, and asked if "gerald" was home. Since I don't know anyone by that name, I of course told her that he died, and that she'd have to buy her meth someplace else. She looked dissapointed and left.

Should have sold her the meth...

I'm closing in on 10,000 posts. These are the people with more posts than I have.

OS (I'll never catch him)
BringBackZezel (maybe in a few years)
Blueline29 (maybe, but when she graduates I could be in trouble)
007 (here, yes; elsewhere, no)
Guppy (probably not)
cprice12 (probably not)
CheesesteakDude (I think I can)
TC (probably)
steveInebriated (without a doubt)
the knob (probably not)
goon attack (how did he pass me so quickly?)
BlueBrained (probably not)

Should #10,000 be "booger"?
