Canucks get Beauvillier, Aatu Raty (considered Isles top prospect), and a top 12 protected 2023 1st rd pick. Odds of the Isles having a top 12 pick are pretty slim. Canucks also retained 1/4 of Horvat's salary. IF Horvat doesn't sign an extension, that's a very hefty price for a rental, since this wasn't a trade and sign deal.

So Blues fans can knock off the continued ridiculous notion of the Blues acquiring Mayfield.

This puts an end to my speculation that Vladdy would be headed to the Islanders for a similar package, but it does give me hope that he could fetch a similar package from another team. He'd fit well in New Jersey as well.
