How will the Klim Kostin error be remembered?

Dmitri Samorukov (LHD, 1 NHL game to his credit) coming back this way.

I suppose we can officially call Kostin a bust now?

Supposedly, Samorukov was a top prospect for the Oilers and had a shot at seeing significant NHL playing time this season. That being said, it is the Oilers defense. Bruiser kind of player with some offensive upside. He's always developed the offense as he learned each league. At 6-3 188, he probably needs to add 10-20 lbs to be an NHL level bruiser.

We all saw what Samorukov did in his 4ish minutes of NHL time against Jordan Kyrou.

Unless he's worked out the problem of being a not very good NHL defenseman he'll probably stay in Springfield behind Tucker and Kessel. Timmermann essentially said the same; if he's brought up to the NHL the problems with the blue line run very very deep. I mean I guess he could find his game, but it looked more like a "you take our crap, we'll take your crap" sort of trade to me.
