2022-23 Predictions

Post by glen a richter »

Record: 44-29-9 for 97 points, good for just on the outside looking in, they miss the playoffs by blowing the last two games against Dallas in spectacular fashion. Stars snag the 8 seed instead. Having been in the hunt, Army decides to hang onto Tarasenko rather than get assets and he walks in the off-season for nada despite strong rumors of interest from a couple of underperforming eastern conference clubs.

Neighbours has a modest start to his NHL career as a regular, potting 17 goals and adding on 11 assists.

Kyrou proves an adequate replacement for Perron on the PP scoring 95 points overall on the season.

Thomas matches Kyrou with 95 of his own.

The defense shows a lot of improvement early on in the season and we do see some game action by Tucker and Kessel later in the season.

Why the shitty results when everyone is looking decent? Sometime in February Binner’s knee will get screwed up again. Greiss was able to hide in the weeds since Binner was doing good thus far so Greiss’s shortcomings aren’t obvious but once Binner goes down Greiss can’t hack it as the #1. Hofer gets the nod to see what he can do but some late season injuries on D force a tough situation and he can only stand on his head so much.

Off-season, O’Reilly resigns but the other UFA’s all head elsewhere and a true soft rebuild begins.
