Perunovich Out

Yep. I don't know if it's tough luck or injury prone, or he's too small for the NHL game and speed or whatever but this + Scandella throws a serious wrinkle in the D plans for the foreseeable future.

I wouldn't have been averse to them shopping Perunovich last offseason, might have even mentioned it once or twice. The more the injuries pile up the less value he'll have to every team including the Blues. Hard to call a 2nd round pick a draft bust but I'm starting to lean in that direction.

FWIW... Perunovich was asked about being "injury prone" a few days ago and he said before his shoulder & wrist injury, he had never been injured before in his career.
Also, his doctor said his wrist injury was flukey. So not sure if that kind of injury fits into the conversation or not. :?:
Should we be labeling him as being "injury prone" right now? Maybe not yet.
Of course, if this latest injury is serious, then that's one more injury for the "injury prone" bucket.
Hopefully it's nothing serious and he's just day to day.

Fractured shoulder.... dang!!

What's concerning to me... whomever the Blues usually have handle shoulder injury things doesn't have a good track record of fixing them right. Even if this injury was a game injury, the fixing it part is the issue.

Berglund, Tarasenko, now Perunovich. The question I have - was this the same shoulder he had surgery on in 2021... and, if so, did they ignore the stabilization thing Tarasenko finally had done to fix his shoulder after the Blues recommended staff didn't fix his twice.
