Pathetic!
This is almost the worst possible news I can imagine coming from this organization!!!!!!!!
Moving the team to another city I guess would be the worst!

OMFG why? STOP SIGNING DAVID PERRON!

One or two salaries like this for a 2nd/3rd line player can work for the right guy... except the Blues have 5 of these salaries. 5.

Am I the only Blues fan right now not losing their mind?

Good lord people.

We needed depth, I didn't even think this was a question. Free agents get overpaid, ok, we all know this. Three years for Bozak isn't awful, and we desperately needed another center. THOMAS CAN'T WALK INTO A SECOND LINE ROLE PEOPLE. Yea, I know Bozak isn't really either but that's one more experienced center than we had before. If the injury bug hit this team as listed on June 30 it's screwed. We had to get some depth. Perron and Bozak, for the term and dollars, isn't awful. I'm shocked by the utter meltdowns Blues fans are having.

I'm also pleased about the moves we DIDN'T make, namely O'Reilly and the apparent insane price tag going back the other way.

Yea, I know, I want the kids to play too. But we desperately needed a center and at 4x4 for Perron that's not terrible. Unless something weird happens we should be about done and we still have almost $6 million in cap space still. Sheesh people.

5M per year for 3 years for a 32 year old center whose scored 20 goals once and will be a 3rd/4th line center, when it comes down to nuts and bolts, is over paying, period. The criticism which has been fairly leveled at Armstrong the past 5 years.

I get the depth issues and don't mind the Perron signing considering he learned how to play a more effective support role with Vegas than was asked of him by any other team, which should benefit the Blues.

But 5M for Bozak is ridiculous.

Perron was just acquired as expansion draft insurance. In due time he’ll have the distinction of being the first Blue to be selected in consecutive expansion drafts by Vegas and Seattle.

I don't know what to make of this one. $4 mil AAV seems reasonable for him. 4 years does too I guess. He'll be 34 when it's over. And, he had a very solid year in Vegas.

On the other hand, he just won't go away. I don't even hate on him too much. But, how does he always end up back in STL?

I don't really hate this signing anymore. Now that we got the legit top6 player in ROR, I'm okay with Perron as depth. Hate the term. I think we will regret it in the 3rd and 4th years, but I guess as long as it doesn't keep us from losing a kid then depth is good. I'm pretty sure I just hated this as a replacement for ROR.
