Re: CBS Sprorts - Preview the Blues
Thomas isn't a defenseman nor is there any indication that he would have a prayer of making this team. This author just pulled that out of his ass, I guess.
There is an indication that Dunn and Walman will push hard for a roster spot in camp, much like Parayko and Edmundson did a couple years ago. Only issue is they're both lefties.
I would also guess Tage Thompson will drive some competition as well. He's arguably had the best summer of the forward prospects. And he's a right hand shot, something the Blues could really use on the power play/top 9.
With Schenn's arrival/Lehtera's departure, my expectations and hopes are dangerously high. As always, though, you brace for the worst with the ole St. Louis Blues.

Plus there's this guy named Robby Fabbri who will be back this season. No mention of him in the writeup either.
Gosh, how will we ever replace Perron's 18 goals?

Schenn easily replaces Perron's 18 goals... and that's without Fabbri being mentioned as you stated.gaijin wrote:Plus there's this guy named Robby Fabbri who will be back this season. No mention of him in the writeup either.

Still concerned about the head coach and his philosophy, though.

I'm excited to see Walman and Dunn battle it out for a roster spot. After a summer of watching my Mets just implode and put me through total misery it'll be nice to get back to watching a team that actually waits until the playoffs to start losing.

Opens the door for Megan, Thompson, Kostin, etc... Megan looked outstanding vs the Penguins.
