For those who remember the layout of the old Arena perhaps you could help settle a bet. I say that the side the blues attacked twice was to your right if you were sitting behind the players bench (i.e. the North end of the ice). My friend says it was the opposite. Which was it?
North End. Had season tickets from 88-92 and sat in the North End. Can't even see my seats in that picture.
South End had the Zamboni entrance, resulting in fewer seats for home fans. Result - Blues shot twice at the North End.
Indisputable proof - Monday Night Miracle video:
Note the absence of the Zamboni entrance during the Blues goals in the 3rd period - thus - North End. On Wickenheiser's game winner (at the South End) - there are a bunch of people standing in the Zamboni entrance, but there is a big black area where there is nothing - no seats right behind goal = Zamboni entrance.

If you can find a radio call of a game from back then and get the intro, Ken Wilson will describe the Blues has skating right to left and shooting at the North End as the game starts.

I'm jealous of you guys. My family moved to the STL area in '96 so I just missed out on the experience of seeing a game at the barn. I remember watching it get blown it up live on TV though.
