Christian Ehrhoff waived

Pie goes down, people saying we may need another Dman, guess what? The LORD ANSWERS!

Claim 'em Army!

Seriously, it's pretty well-known that Sutter outright disliked the guy. If anyone is the posterboy for 'Change of Scenery', it's him. I really think he'd surprise.

Thought the same thing. You could do worse. Then again, if Petro will be back before the playoffs I could live with making do with what's already in the squad.

Bortuzzo is filling in fine. No need to rush Pietrangelo back and no need to pick up someone else.

He should be back around the trade deadline. If he isn't back until playoffs, they "Carey Priced" his injury.

Not necessarily. Did some reading on MCLs which are the result of a knee being hit from the side - as happened in this case. The 3 weeks is to re-evaluate, because MCLs can heal with rest, apparently. 3 possible results:

1) It hasn't improved and needs surgery- out for the season - so waiting 3 weeks to see if it will heal wouldn't have changed anything.
2) It's partially improved and just needs more time which is normal if that happens - back for the playoffs'
3) It's better and Petro is back around the trade deadline.

With Pietrangelo skating again, it's getting better quicker than expected, whatever the injury may have been.

I'll caveat this by admitting I never saw Ehrhoff play for the Kings but the reports I heard from NHL radio were that he was just "slow." In skating, in recognizing the play, in all aspects.

Maybe it's truly a situation that the game has gotten away from him a bit. If we were desperate I'd say go for it but we're not. With the emergence of Edmunson and Parayko we have a great amount of depth on the blueline.
