Shanny ended up marrying her...so at least there is that.
I also heard that Janney was a complete dick to her, and Shanahan decked him in practice...or something like that.

Shanahan was traded the following offseason.
Good times.

Back in, around, 1993...I went to Blues training camp in Brentwood...and Shanahan and Janney left the rink in the same car...they were good friends for a while.
Korolev didn't seem to know how to drive, as he was grinding the gears when shifting when he left.
Shanny was Janney's best man in his wedding. Don't care if Janney treated her like crap or not. Wrong thing to do. While the team was in Tampa Bay, Twist got into a fight with Shanny and beat the crap out of him. Shanny went to jail, while Twist got out without being arrested because the team covered for him. Shanny was then traded for Pronger not long afterwards.

Wonder if all the stuff happening in the last few months will cause the Hawks to implode and collapse completely. Gonna be interesting to see if their winning character can carry them through all that.

Sharp apparently not being traded now --> http://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/710128

But I read something last night that the story has spread to the other GMs now and they've all told Stan Bowman they don't want him due to the current situation and obviously not wanting to bring that risk to their own teams. I think it's funny that women just cannot be trusted to keep their panties on around this guy - apparently they fly off when he walks into a room. When he does autograph signings it's all women in line for him.

Or maybe that a married man with kids can't keep it in his pants especially with a teammates wife.

Yeah I'm hearing it's confirmed now - Vermette is a Hawk. We had to get him - didn't have a choice with Kane out. Keep in mind we picked up $6M in cap space with Kane on LTIR.

How does that affect cap space if Kane comes back for the WCF? Will that put the Hawks over?

Doesn't impact it at all. No salary cap in the playoffs.

Sounds like Yandle is headed to NYR, but not a done deal yet.

Now it's done.

Yandle + Summers + 4th round pick to NYR

for

Moore + DuClair (big prospect) + 1st rounder + another pick to ARI

and Arizona retains 50% of Yandle's salary.

As much as I like Yandle, I'm glad we didn't get in on that one.

Yeah, that's a lot. I'm not super familiar with the NYR this year, but makes me think that they think their window is closing soon. That's a win now deal if I ever saw one.

I am becoming more and more wary of the Jets by the minute. The Rangers have a lot to prove to convince me they can take the truckload of talent the distance.

I've said this before the season started, but I really feel the team that'll be our greatest hurdle will be Nashville. I see them trying to go all the way.

I hope this trade backfires on the Rangers as badly as the St. Louis trade did. First, they make the Cup finals putting the conditional 1st rounder into play. Then they lose both the Cup and the 1st rounder! It was a thing of beauty.

As for the Petry trade, a 2nd and a 5th? I could have lived with that if Army had pulled it off.
