Steve Montador dead at 35

Post by KrustyKevo »

Felt like this deserved a thread, even if he was never affiliated with the Blues. A life is a life.
“It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be. That way and not some other way.”

Sad story. I had initially feared suicide but they seem to deny that that happened. Either way, it's a tragedy. One of 'those guys' that was just bouncing around the league and stuck around for a long time. RIP. Way too young to be gone.

yes this is the 2nd person we've lost in 7 weeks to suicide. Many of the current Hawks roster played with him and were close to him. Concussions are directly linked to depression and was a factor here

All I heard was "no foul play," which doesn't tell us much.

Accidental overdose? Anyone's guess I suppose.
