However, we still do it. Is this because, deep down, JNE is actually.........fun in a weird way?

That part I can actually understand, but it's hard to fathom being JNE and just putting up with all this and acting largely oblivious to it all, even though I know he isn't. It feels like he's some kind of experiment or an alter-ego of someone here.

I swear I saw JNE walking around wearing this:

I think he might be a Kane fan. So loud it glows in the dark.

As a HOCKEY fan you gotta appreciate Kane. Especially for such a little guy. He can't be more than 5'9". The same way you appreciate Tank, Crosby, Malkin, or Ovechkin.

Kane sorta stands out because he is smaller than most all other stars and hockey is a VERY physical game. He reminds me in a way of Pat Lafontaine who we saw in the 80s and early 90s for those of you that recall him.

No, I most certainly do not have to appreciate Kane.
He's a great talent that is severely tarnished by being an asshole. He'll always be the guy who beat up a cabbie over a few bucks...and then he jokes about it to the crowd during the Stanley Cup parade in Chicago? That kind of thing is unforgivable to me. Total douchebag.

I appreciate the skill of Tank, Crosby and Malkin. But nowadays, Ovechkin is back with the pack as far as talent goes. He isn't what he once was, and he plays a very selfish game which irritates the hell out of me. I'm meh on Ovechkin. He is one of the most overrated players in the league right now.

LaFontaine was/is a class act.
Kane will always be second class compared to LaFontaine.

And before you ask, no...I wouldn't want Kane on the Blues. If we ever acquired him, I'd want him out of town ASAP in a trade.

Btw, I was sitting in church on Christmas Eve with the wife's family. I usually dread it, but as I sat there I looked up at the messiah with his killer abs and I thought, that's what drives our LGB troll nuts. Even as I say there conflicted in my own beliefs, I smiled. Then I joined in to sing his praises. Thanks JNE! Even I said that!

Wouldn't it be ironic if JNE, in real life, was actually Miroslav Satan? (mentioning of all people Pat LaFontaine? I dono, man...) Think about it.

Kane is 5'11". One inch shorter than Tank. His official weight is 177. So he is a skinny-ass motherfucker.

But he's not 5'9".

Even Mike Milbury on NBCSN said he thought Kane ' s actual height is about 5'9". You should know for decades there can be a difference between actual heights and listed heights for some pro athletes.

I just admire short people who do well at such a rough and violent game like hockey. That includes former Blues like Rick Meagher, Nelson Emerson, and Eric Bogonieuiki(sp)!

I know what some of you may be thinking but I am over 6 feet tall. But I can't play hockey..LOL.

Patrick Kane may be the most overrated hockey player in the world right now. He's definitely top 5. Rode Toews' jock all the way to the bank.

In the same thread, JNE told somebody not to be a Blues fan and promoted Kane. He had been doing so well lately at not being an irritating schmuck too.

So what I gather from this is that Mike Milbury got a measure stick out, documented Kane's height, and JNE was THERE to WITNESS it!!!!! 5'9"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So.....did anyone actually help the person with the initial question or do we just have another JNE hijacked thread here now? Fans in southern California -> Kane's height? What?

Oaklandblue helped him/her out a bit. Not sure if anyone else on the board lives (or lived) in that area.

I noticed in the "Introduce Yourself" thread that back in September a fan from Houston introduced himself and JNE effectively told him he should be a Stars fan instead, questioning why he'd pick the Blues instead of a Texas based team. This thread makes it a pattern, not an isolated incident: if you're not from St. Louis, you should like a different team... the gospel according to JNE.

JesusNEVERexisted wrote:If you're in Socal why don't you follow the Kings or Ducks? Both teams have won Cups and the Kings are the current champs.
Because I'm not a bandwagoner, I'm a fan. Although I do like the Ducks, Blues are my number one. And nobody should like the Kings. Quick is a ball-puncher and the fans think they're gangstas. And, yes, it is particularly frightening for me to be a Blues fan at a Kings game, but I wear it with pride and hope I don't get stabbed. Thank you to those of you with advice and help, I appreciate it! Keep me posted on any other ideas or if you come in contact with any SoCal Blues fans!

I don't post often, but I do check the site often... I've noticed similar trends recently that kind of reminds me of the old days... Is JNE really just aode returning after many years of absence?
