I remember a few weeks ago saying somewhere that Perron would be a good fit in Pittsburgh.

I guess we'll see now.

Agreed. His production is gonna go up a lot if he plays with Crosby or Malkin.

F-

Blues didn't get anything when they traded Perron. Oil get a first rounder. Watch that pick be the next Gretzky/Lemieux now.

The Blues DID get something though... Perron off the roster.

It's not like the Blues robbed the Avalanche or anything. GMs don't win every trade.

How is Pittsburgh able to afford all these offensive stars at every turn? Perron has offensive skill - can you imagine him on a line with Crosby or Malkin - geez.

He's on a line with Crosby. He's already starting to heat up and potting goals for them. 3g and 1a in 4 GP.

It's an ideal situation for him and a place where he might actually reach his vaulted potential.

He doesn't have to lead the team at all, he's not asked to play any defense whatsoever, and he's got the top assists guy in the league feeding him the puck in choice areas.

I mean, it's PERFECT for Perron. It's a situation he would have never had here or in Edmonton or with any other team in the league.

He's a lazy baby, and he can just do what he wants and win over there.

I am so glad he's not on our team anymore.

I was just coming into this thread to point out how Pittsburgh isn't doing so hot the past few games, and Perron was barely visible and a -1 in this game they were losing 4-1 to the ranges. As I reached for my laptop, he took a pass at the red line, skated down the middle of the ice, and five-holed Lundqvist. Of course, the Pens are still going to lose. I'm too lazy to figure out their record since Perron came over, but their L10 is 4-5-1, so safe to say it hasn't been a winning one.

He's not playing defense per usual, but he's been quite productive for them on a line with Sid.
