Listened to the USA/Finland game yesterday at work. They mentioned a Blues pick playing. Sorry, a novice in the juniors. Do you guys know what Blues picks are playing? I only know Fabbri.

Yeah there's Barbashev (Forward) for the Russian team. And Husso (Goalie) from Finland. Along with as you mentioned Fabbri (Forward) of Canada.

Husso had an outstanding game. The only goal he allowed in regulation was a power play goal in which a USA player wound up wide open in front between two defenders and the USA captain made a perfect backhand pass to him.

It'll be nice when Fabbri and Barbashev join the fold and we can run two prolific scoring lines instead of one and three maybes. That's when this team will be Cup ready.

Looks to me like Finland made a mistake benching Husso after the first game. Saros has not been as good.

Saros - 6 GA 48 Shots against
Husso - 2 GA 38 Shots against.

Here is the interesting part - the IIHF counts the shootout goal against in those numbers, which is odd, considering the NHL does not count those that way. It's actually 1 GA on 38 shots, not 2. They didn't add the shootout shots to the total shots against, but did add the goal agaisnt?? Odd.

Aside - this is a funny qoute
As McKeen’s Hockey pro scouting coordinator Gus Katsaros said, Husso has demonstrated "why pencils have erasers."
(referring to his current mental attitude)

I assume Husso was drafted as a "just in case" sort of like Lundstrom. I must say it feels a bit odd this team having two ace goalie prospects in Allen and Binnington. But Husso might develop into a 3rd and force some decision making in 4 or 5 seasons.

I think they should just save the blue paint for the lockers?
