- I had advocated involving Shatty in a trade for Spezza in the offseason. That was really dumb; he's their best D man by a mile right now.

- Another heroic game by 91. Especially that snipe when it was 2-0 and the game seemed lost with Quick in net. Knowing LA, though, I pray Vladdy's head is on a swivel Thursday night.

If they can beat these jackasses again @ Staples Center, this will indeed be a Merry Christmas.

I will give it up for Ott, that was a great pass to setup Senko's first goal. Likewise, Petro had a nice setup on Senko's second goal.

That 5 on 3 was awesome. It was like LA's jenga tower was hanging on by a thread and then just....boom...within 3 minutes it was all gone.

Between periods Federko said this is a battle between 2 championship teams. What championship have the Blues won?? Unless you count a division title 2 or 3 years ago. He couldn't be talking about the President's trophy team from 14 years ago!

A number of players today are better than Hull was. Players today are just better...just like players 30 years from now will be better than today's players.

I still like our alternate jerseys, I'm glad the brass held on to them.

I am too, although there's been a lot of backlash on them lately. It's funny because when they were debuted, they were considered as some of the best alternate jerseys in the league. But then they wore them into the ground, that's probably where the backlash came from.

Now they're only wearing them every 2-3 weeks, much better.

Not to rain on the parade of celebratory posts but apparently Jaden Schwartz was injured last night and is "week to week".....Jaskin recalled.

Schwartz is considered week-to-week after suffering an injury to his right foot in the Blues’ 5-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.

The Blues have recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Jaskin, 21, has dressed in 17 games for Chicago this season, sharing fourth on the club with 15 points, including four goals and 11 assists. In addition, the 6-foot-3, 211-pound forward has appeared in six games with the Blues, posting a goal and four penalty minutes.
