Time for revenge.
PREDATORS (10-3-2) at BLUES (10-4-1)

TV: FS-TN, FS-MW

Season series: The Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues will play in St. Louis for the second time in six days. The Predators, behind James Neal's third-period goal, won 2-1 at Scottrade Center on Nov. 8. Filip Forsberg also scored for the Predators. Jori Lehtera scored for the Blues.

Predators team scope: First-period goals from Mike Ribeiro, Matt Cullen and Forsberg helped the Predators defeat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 Tuesday on home ice for their third straight win and fourth in five games. Forsberg will take a six-game point streak (10 points) into the game Thursday after a goal and an assist against the Oilers. In Forsberg, Neal and Ribeiro, the Predators have a formidable No. 1 line.

"There is an open-door policy for getting to the offensive zone and creating havoc," coach Peter Laviolette told the Predators website. "That line seems to have it going on right now."

Goalie Pekka Rinne is expected start for the Predators. He stopped 28 shots against the Blues on Saturday.

Blues team scope: It will be the fourth of a five-game homestand for the Blues, who have won two of the first three. St. Louis defeated the Buffalo Sabres 6-1 on Tuesday behind a natural hat trick by Lehtera, who has a five-game point streak.

Linemates Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko combined for five assists, giving the trio 25 points in the past six games.

T.J. Oshie skated again with his teammates but there is no target date for his return.

"It's great to get back out here and skate with everyone," Oshie said after practice Wednesday. "It's nice not to be miserable for a couple nights in a row."

Goalie Jake Allen will start for the Blues on Thursday, coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Let's not repeat the last game v. Nashville. I'm looking at 3-2 Blues with no goals from the STL line. It's about time the others started contributing more regularly.

Backes, Jackman and Ott with the goals tonight.

Exactly. I can't wait to see him inserted into this lineup, but it's only November.

Because we're winning.

And I'm inclined to agree if there is any doubt about him being 100%. But if he is definitely 100% ready to go...then he should be all means play.

I still don't know how Backes was able to only miss one game after being diagnosed with a concussion.
I get that there are different levels of concussions, and I also get that it has been said that we don't really know a ton about concussions yet, and I get that there are baseline tests that, if passed, then a player is cleared to play pretty soon after.
But it would stand to reason that if you are diagnosed with a concussion, especially in a sport like hockey, that you would be forced to sit out at least a week after you aren't suffering symptoms anymore.

If I was a player and I suffered a concussion, possibly coming back too soon after a concussion would scare the crap out of me. To me, that's something you don't screw around with. Pronger learned that lesson the hard way.

I'm late to the game tonight...
What did reaver do to get his misconduct and why does the sexual predators' coach have a black eye?

I'm wondering the same thing about Reaves. He wanted to drop the mitts with Nystrom but all Reaves did was skate with him, chirp, and smile. Didn't even touch him. Felt like the refs were just picking on him. As for their coach, I think he took a puck off the dome about a week ago.

'Twas a back and forth game. I felt like since the Blues had blown so many leads, they'd ultimately cough if up and lose. Thankfully Pauly Walnuts deflects it in late and we hang on for 2 more points.

Felt like the team as a whole played pretty well and they didn't have to rely on the STL line to make things happen.

I didn't really get that one either. We're obviously not on the ice to hear what was actually said, but it annoys me when a situation like that results in 1 penalty. I know it's not as simple as that, but I prefer 0 or 2.
