Talked to a source just now who confirmed that the St. Louis Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs have had trade discussions in the last few days regarding "a deal that would see the team swapping top six forwards and a prospect."
The source told me the Blues are looking for "added speed and scoring touch" and the Leafs have been talking to few teams now regarding toughness and some playmaking ability.
Not sure what to make of this. It might explain why there are a some young guys still hanging around camp.
Kadri? van Riemsdyk? (haha)

Huh. Maybe the FO is as worried about Steen's second half as I am? Kadri would be nice but I can't see why they would move him. Only he, Van Riemsdyk and Kessel would actually improve the forward corps. I have to imagine TOR would be interested in Dmen. I don't know, I don't see a match here.
Whatever happens has to magically fit into the salary cap picture. What would realistically work? Trading Berglund and Ott would be a great start. Both and a prospect for Kessel? Do it, Army!
