But don't you guys remember all the complaints during the playoffs on how the Blues don't have a true sniper when they had all that trouble scoring?
Stastny is not the answer. He helps but doesn't transform the team.

Just more fuel for the ESPN is terrible at hockey fire:
Check out the video on the ESPN NHL page right now. It's a breakdown of the Central division and predictions for each team. It's pretty good, except for one thing: they don't say squat about the Blues. There's a brief mention while talking about another team, but they definitely skipped actually talking about them:
http://espn.go.com/nhl/
They must be really poised for that regression.
Granted, they do have actual text articles attached to the video:
http://espn.go.com/nhl/preview2014/note ... ouis-blues
It's actually fairly accurate. It doesn't say much we don't already know. I think (hope) people are undervaluing Lehtera. I have a good feeling about him. All eyes are going to be on Stastny, but I think he could prove to be just as valuable in his own right.

Their hockey coverage is a raging dumpster fire. Burnside wrote a preview for this season: http://espn.go.com/nhl/preview2014/stor ... storylinesViPeRx007 wrote:Just more fuel for the ESPN is terrible at hockey fire
In it, he comments:
...literally one sentence after mentioning the acquisition of Stastny. He doesn't find time to mention Spezza to the Stars. Joke. But no team made the kind of move that the Anaheim Ducks did in acquiring Ryan Kesler at the draft from the Vancouver Canucks.

It was just a year or 2 ago when ESPN picked the Blues to win the Cup!

Even ESPN said that!JesusNEVERexisted wrote:It was just a year or 2 ago when ESPN picked the Blues to win the Cup!

Re: Blues poised for a regression?
Army was just on the KMOX Blues Caravan tonight. He said the conference is so competitive that it's going to be tough just to make the playoffs.
Then Kerbs said 1 or 2 key injuries could wipe the entire season out.
