He's grew up in Des Peres, MO, not St. Louis. Dude, learn to comprehend and read English.

At the Kirkwood rink there are 2 jerseys right next to each other. Bishop and LaFontaine.

Also to keep on the topic of the thread, Kane is a prick but I like to see this picture because it means he hates the Blues which is great to see in a rivalry.
I would hope Backes would do the same thing.
With that said Kane is still a piece of shit.

Not sure where you heard that from JesusAINTreal.

God forbid a professional hockey player whose name is on the Stanley Cup actually shows things like sportsmanship, class and integrity and play the game at their level. WE KNOW YOU CAN PLAY PATRICK, THAT ISN'T THE POINT OF THIS. It's a shame that people, human beings like this dork exist. Him being a Blackhawk and that tard picture ain't the point. Him being a pathetic excuse for a human being is.

Although if you want to think about it, of all the teams he's covering his mitt to, it's the Blues. When people tend go all out and do that, it ain't because the Blues are a laughingstock, it's because they're afraid of you. Because if you wern't, you wouldn't care what shirt the kids wearing. And if that kid is going to wear a hat of any kind, at least make sure he's wearing it cause that shit looks like it's about to roll off his head lol.
So if you were playing a beer league game and Brett Hull, in his prime, came and asked to play and then proceeded to tear everyone up (because he's Brett friggin' Hull), you'd think he's a douche for it?

I don't see it so much as showing people up. Not at all. I think the dude just likes the game and felt compelled to play. And if I were one of the beer league fellas in that game, I'd think it was awesome. That's a story you can tell people forever.

It kind of remind me of Eric Byrnes, who played for a few MLB teams. He was released at one point and didn't find a team right away. So he joined a slow pitch softball league just to play. Never once did I think he was a jerk for doing so. Dude just wanted to play.
To me, there's a difference between wanting to play and totally blasting a Beer League game. To me, it's a matter of class. You're an elite professional player in your prime with your name on the Lord Stanley; what's there to prove at a Beer League game? I'd LOVE to play a shift with Hull or MacInnis or take a shot at Liut in goal, hell yes times a billion. Will they be better? Absolutely and THEY ARE BETTER. But to me, just going to town on a team is just poor sportsmanship, but that's my opinion and I do respect yours. I just have a different point of view on it.

Btw, F The Hawks.

I don't give two shits where LaFontaine moved to when he was 7.
He was (Franking) born here, therefore he is a St. Louisian....meaning, originally from St. Louis.

Period.

LaFontaine has fond memories of St. Louis

BUFFALO, N.Y. • Pat LaFontaine was born in Kirkwood in 1965, and despite moving to Detroit at the age of 7 because of his father’s job, he still remembers his home address.

Without hesitation Tuesday night, LaFontaine rattled off, “314 Coulter Drive, believe it or not ... I still remember the outdoor rink where I first learned how to skate. I’m very fond of my time there.”

LaFontaine, 48, was the No. 3 overall pick by the New York Islanders in 1983. In a 14-year NHL career, he registered 1,013 points in 865 games, and in 2003 he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

A week ago, LaFontaine was hired as president of hockey operations in Buffalo, which hosted the Blues on Tuesday night.

LaFontaine acknowledges that there’s plenty of heavy lifting ahead, trying to revive the last-place Sabres. But in St. Louis, LaFontaine has a history of paving the way.

Calgary’s Chris Butler, Colorado’s Paul Stastny and Tampa Bay’s Ben Bishop are among St. Louisans in the NHL who were born after LaFontaine made his mark in the league, but they received motivation from the fact that he had local roots.

“That’s the biggest name to come out of St. Louis,” Butler said. “I remember growing up, I played in Kirkwood and there were pictures of Pat LaFontaine in the trophy case. You began to respect and realize how good of a player he was.”

LaFontaine blushed when hearing Tuesday about the credit he receives from those players.

“It’s very flattering,” he said. “When we grew up, college was kind of the bar. And to be part of a generation that maybe pushed that bar, allowed boys and girls to dream even higher, that’s flattering.

“You just hoped to inspire others like players inspired me. You never forget where your roots are from, where you’re born. St. Louis and Detroit are special to me.”
Hmmm... "I still remember the outdoor rink where I first learned how to skate."
Bang...zoom. Nice find sir.
