Apparently it was just Tortorella holding them back, and it just took most of a season for them to get into Vigneault's system.

Pay no attention to being taken to 7 games by a poor Flyers team with a backup goalie. And Montreal definitely didn't do them a favor by blowing their load while eliminating the most talented team in the conference. Pay no attention to the Rags' poor D-corps. And if you bring up any of these things, you're just a hater.

Bring on the draft.
The Rags do have a few good points (from a strictly hockey sense) Lundqvist is a great goalie though unfairly dubbed the king when the guy has never won the whole shebang (which I suppose COULD change this year). They have Ryan McDonagh who's definitely a top d-man, and they have a lot of speed. They also have the worlds most arrogant fanbase and I'm surrounded by that fanbase, to boot.

The Kings just beat the Rangers in a 2OT thriller to take a 2-0 lead. Give the Rangers credit though. These have been 2 one goal games and I didn't think the Rangers would keep it that close!

Series doesn't start until the home team loses. So this series may start and end at the same time.

Rangers fans are livid about goal #3 but they (and everyone else) are clearly missing the fact that King was pushed into Lundqvist by McDonagh. It's plain as day. Maybe it could have been blown dead, but they were screaming for a penalty where there shouldn't have been.

I just hope LA can take care of business at MSG because I want the Rags out by midweek. They haven't brought their A-Game yet. Everyone knows LA is capable of more, they just need to throw it into high gear in front of the away fans. Take the MSG crowd out of it early and roll from there.

LA didn't lead a single second of Game 7 in the WCF, or Games 1 and 2 of the SCF, yet they've won all 3. I want that kind of luck.

That just changed with 0.01 left to go in the first. Vigneault's "are you (Franking) kidding me" was so obvious...

About time LA got a lead. Hopefully they handle the prosperity better than the Rags.

Okay how about doing something the Rags can't do and hold the 2 goal lead? I want to be thinking about the draft by Thursday morning.

I don't think LA is interested in flying all the way back across country just to have to play another game. They want to end this shit asap. They're certainly playing like it. That said, I think the Rags will split at home and LA takes it back in Cali.

I was going LA in 5, so that wouldn't hurt me at all..

The Rangers should've won 1 game in LA and kept it close but now the Kings are taking the brooms out!

That was a fantastic game 5! The Rangers had plenty of chances and hit the post TWICE in OT! I like Lundqvist's quote on "tears of joy or tears of heartbreak". Hockey hasn't been this exciting in 20 years!

You gotta hand it to the Kings. NO TEAM has won 3 game 7s on the road EVER! They are the best champs in a long time!

The Kings just won their second Cup in 3 years by being a better version of the Blues. A big factor in their winning it all and we exiting in the first round, is the deadline. The Kings have made the best deadline deal at both of the deadlines when they won they Cup. The Jeff Carter trade turned them from pretenders to contenders. The Gaborik deal helped put them back over the top. With a very similarly constructed team that relies heavily on goaltending and team defense, the Blues have failed to make any significant offensive additions at the deadlines and in fact this year shot themselves in the foot instead.

This could have been us.....

I'm wondering why they didn't award an assist to Lundqvist on the game winner. That was a hell of a rebound he let up to Martinez. It couldn't have been more perfectly placed.
