No Hawks player welcomes the showdown with the Blues more than Brandon Bollig, who will have relish the chance to face his hometown team.

“I’ve never played against them in a playoff series,” Bollig said. “Being my hometown it (will) be fun to go back and play in an atmosphere like that and such high pressure.”

Bollig will have plenty of family and friends to cheer him on — or the Blues.

“I think they’d be rooting for me,” Bollig said with a chuckle. “I’ve tried to convert as many as I can over the years. I think I’ve done a good job and hopefully … we come out on top and I convert a couple of more

Interesting fact that Bollig is the ONLY St.Louisan to have his name on the Stanley Cup!

I've always wondered what it would be like to end up on the rival of the team you grew up supporting. Surely he grew up hating the Blackhawks. So, at least at first, it had to be a little strange to play for them I would think. I mean, if I were in his situation, I'm sure I would get over that pretty quickly as would any of us and just be happy to be in the NHL. On some level, there's gotta be some mixed emotions there I would think.

When your name is on the Lord Stanley, most anything else doesn't matter. I'm sure that's how he looks at it, too.

My wife is a huge Braves fan and so by default can't stand the Mets. I've been joking that if we get our son into little league when he's old enough, maybe he'll develop the skills necessary to be a major leaguer and get to wear NY orange and blue someday.

It's not his fault the Hawks signed him. If the Blues signed him first he'd be here. A job as a hockey player is a very coveted position!

From how the title of this thread was written, I actually thought his name was HAWK BOLLIG. Says alot about his parents if that's the case: TRAITORS!
