I wish I had continued with curling, but it was too expensive for the season plus having to pay the bridge toll both ways every week.

One time I was sweeping and the rule of thumb is that if the stone gets away from you, don't try to keep up. Just let it be. I tried to keep up, lost my footing and slipped. Landed on my side. My sweeping partner immediately fell too. Except he hit his bald head on the ice. Blood everywhere, and you could see the concaveness in his skull where he landed. Dude was concussed, thus ending his season.
