Maybe they wanted to make sure Leopold doesn't feel lonely on IR.

Guys...he's not really going to play unless Cole stinks it up or someone else gets hurt.

What, we like one fourth liner better than another?

Cole or Cola, Cole or Cola?

Pah, They're both fourth liners, who honestly cares lol. I'm more concerned about how Maxim and Roman scored the goals tonight in a loss. Didn't anybody else come to the fights? Anyone? Bueller? *looks around* Bueller?

:okman:

Kind of sad/pathetic but no joke when I heard that we re-signed Cola, the image of Cola recoiling with his mouth open was my VERY first thought hahaha

I was worried about the Blues depth beyond Cole on D at the start of the season. I had hoped they would sign Whitney to a cheap deal but he probably wanted more than they could fit. Plus the Blues signed Morrow instead, pretty much killing all their space. Whitney hasn't exactly been playing lights out in Florida either. This works as a stop-gap with the Leopold injury. He was cheaper than Whitney would have been, and is serviceable as a 3rd line D. The only downside is that its a one-way contract. I'd have preferred a 2-way so we could send him to the AHL when Leopold is back. When Leopold comes back, the Blues have to either release Colaiacovo in which case they are back to the same lack of depth, or eat his cap while he plays in the minors. I don't know if they have the space to eat the salary when Leopold comes off of LTI. Even if they do, it diminishes how much cap room there will be to make a move at the trade deadline. So I guess the whole thing is pretty meh to me. Let's hope nobody else gets hurt and Leopold recovers quickly.

I think they're just trying to wear down the announcers with the longest named D-men squad.

Pietrangelo
Bouwmeester
Shattenkirk
Coliacovo

They need to dump the short named losers Polak, Jackman, Cole and Leopald and get some guys like Hjalmarsson, Volchenkov or Gustafsson.
