Also, DMiles, I don't do laptops. Never was a big fan. They always ran hot and didn't last that long for me.
You can plug them in you know.

Wha?
Depends on what laptop you get.
I have a MacBook Pro, and it's excellent (I run Windows on it). I also have a Chromebook, and the keyboard on that thing is great. I also have an iPad, which I don't use near as much at home now that I have a Chromebook. I take the iPad to meetings at work though.
If I wasn't a power user and didn't need desktop computers for high end stuff like graphics, high end photo processing, video editing, etc... I'd be perfectly happy with a nice laptop.

Which defeats the purpose of a "take it anywhere you want" computer. I had two laptops in my time, both toshiba satellites. Neither lasted more than 2 years. They ran way too hot, they'd shut down on their own, I had to use an external fan to keep it cool enough to not shut off after 20 minutes, so here I am doing stuff in the dead of winter got the heat cranking and a fan blasting directly on my computer which was sitting directly on me. It wasn't worth it. My desktops have far outlasted either of those laptops.

It's hard to call glen an elitist east coast prick when you go and post stuff like that! I thought Illinois was broke ????

Only 10 games on back-to-back nights and 4 of those are within the first 4 weeks of the season when the team is usually the most prepared.

This is one of the first times I can recall in a long while seeing a schedule that actually looks favorable to St Louis.

I was just thumbing through the schedule and noticed that more than half the games are either nationally televised or on Tuesday/Thursday. So since those are my late nights at work I figured it would be pointless to keep paying full price for center ice. Went to cancel it and found out my bundle was outdated, so I got a major upgrade for less money than I'm paying right now. I would have considered this a win, but retrospectively I should have just pushed for a discounted rate on center ice so I could at least watch the other 35 or so games I'll actually be home for.

No more center ice means I'll be back in teh flashchat this season.
