ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has named former Blues goalie Ty Conklin as the club’s Goaltender Development Coach.
Conklin, 37, will work with the goaltenders with the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate Chicago Wolves and with goaltenders in the Blues’ system.
The Anchorage, Alaska native spent 11 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), including two seasons in St. Louis from 2009-11.
Conklin played in 215 career NHL games, registering a 96-67-21 record, a 2.69 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.
He was originally signed by Edmonton as an undrafted free agent on April 18, 2001.
