1) Register with nhl.com or Login if you already have an account there.
2) Use the link and password above to join our league.
3) Enter your forum username for your team name so we know who is who (if you didn't, you can always change it).
4) Make your picks.

Honestly, I don't think it gets much easier. I guess just sending your picks to me is slightly easier for you guys...but about 1000 times harder for me. So, yeah...

If it's not working or if you are getting an error, try a different browser and/or a different computer.

Well that was wonky, but I guess I'm in.

I understand upgrading from Window 3.1, but Windows ME wasn't that great.

Have to admit that was fairly painless to do. Blues over Habs in the final. Such a homer.

As for operating systems, I'm a DOS man myself...

Curt, didn't know you spent time at SIU. When were you in the 'Dale?

Wasn't that great?! How about a spoiler alert for those of us not up to that operating system yet?

I graduated in '97.
Had a blast playing on the travelling roller hockey team. Played vs. Purdue, U of I, Mich. St., Ball St., Missouri-Rolla, and other schools in numerous tournaments when I was there. We beat Purdue (for the first time in school history) in overtime to advance to the finals in the U of I tournament in '96 I believe. I scored 2 goals in the game and also scored in the shootout. That was the highlight of my hockey career. 8)

Played a shitload of club roller hockey on the Wall St. court. We'd have three games a week sometimes...it was great.

Did you go to C'Dale?

Can't get in, don't feel like registering. I would have finished in last place anyway, probably.

Post your picks here. So that way we can at least see how you would have done.
Fill out a bracket.
Pick the number of games for each series in the 1st round only.
Then pick the total goals scored in the finals.

As the appointed 'jump to conclusions early' man here. I'd like to say I hate this format and can we go back to the non shit way next year?

Because I know my picks and I will most likely be completely eliminated by next Thursday.

Guilty as charged. Graduated in '87. Not sure if the rollerhockey team was established back then. But I easily could have missed it. SIU is a much bigger school than most people realize. Cool that you got to play.

Didn't know where else to put this, but this is Goosebump City. Not a lot of Blues clips in there. Warning: the Orr goal and Stevie Y's celebration are in there. But this is one of the best videos I've ever seen that shows what the Cup is all about.

And just my 2 cents.... This is an easy way to do the playoff challenge, but I'm going to miss making new picks each round. Oh well....

And I also played at the Wall St. court! I wasn't good enough to be on the traveling team. The team I was "drafted" onto my freshman year was called Team Tablescraps, if that tells you anything... I usually showed up to my games with OJ and everclear in my water bottle. Good times...

Yeah, I completely wan't paying attention and thought you'd make each rounds picks once the match-ups were settled.

My bad.

One day my girlfriend, and my cousin and I were skating around SIUC's campus, and my cousin jumped down like 10-12 concrete steps somewhere near the Arena. I was like...heh...I can do that. (Mind you, I was a very good skater, I was cocky...and since I was a kid I was invincible, but I didn't do tricks on my skates...it was either skate around campus or playing hockey for me) So, naturally I tried it. I was lucky I didn't seriously hurt myself. When I landed my left skate chassis broke in half and it kicked out from under me and I kind of did the splits and banged up my knee. I was ok but that was stupid, dumb, stupid.
The only good thing that came from that was I went out and bought a nice pair of Bauer skates right away. Couldn't miss my next game.

I've never done anything like that since...nor will I ever do something like that again.

1 (Frank) Bobby Orr
2 (Frank) Steve Yzerman

Some notes...

I feel that we got hosed, Mario Lemeiux should have been "The Great One" if he wouldn't have gotten cancer and had that terrible back... he would have been.
Gretzky plays GREAT defense (See above, point 2)
Lets add Backes to the end of that for next year?

I have to agree with sseagle. Mario would have been better than Gretzky. But, on the overall, Orr was the best there ever was. Let's face it, "The Goal" or not, it's not like the Blues had a shot in franking hell of winning in any of those first three seasons. No point in being pissed at Bobby Orr for something that was inevitable.
