Watched the Minnesota Golden Gophers drop 5 on UND today. Not pleased. Need a Blues victory tonight to cleanse my mind.

(Franking) referees (Franking) them at every turn here. They want Phoenix to win...or should I say Bettman wants them to win.

Watching the slo-mo you can see something that is either teeth or ice chips flying away from his face. They probably aren't teeth, but they sure looked like teeth.

Rough 1st, good 2nd, great 3rd.

For such a desperate team, Phoenix looked downright terrible.

It sure looked like teeth on my 55" television. I am pretty sure that's why he left so fast. We will get an update at some point, but as long as his noggin isn't scrambled he will be back at it.

Good game tonight, especially the third period.

Elliot looked awesome.

Magic number for the central is now 3.

Needless to say, the reports of the Blues' demise were greatly exaggerated. They looked great, especially in the third when the Yotes got desperate. If they can start turning more of those odd-man breaks into goals, they'll be UNSTOPPABLE.

Bummer about Steen in his first game back, just poor luck. He'll be back soon though if his noggin didn't get too rocked in the process.

Are you related to Chris Stewart, or did we acquire some new 'Stewart"?
I think the Blues will merge Berglund and Stewart to create Patrick Stewart. So now we will just have one wasted piece of talent out there instead of two.

Hey, if you can't see that Patrick has been one of our top all around forwards this year you may as well quit watching hockey and take-up something simple like baseball.

Hell a couple weeks ago Chaser said Bergie has been the second best forward on the team this year just behind Backes. (Chase said 'second' ...not my words)

Berglund has been good and much more noticeable lately. Maybe he's just a second (real) season guy. If so, he's a keeper. I wish he'd hit more, but let's see what he does in the real season... if we are winning without him throwing his body around, but he'll do it in the playoffs, that's probably a plus because he won't break down all the time. We'll see.

Totally agree. Berglund may not be scoring like we'd all want him to, but he plays a solid game on both ends of the ice.

To disagree, one doesn't have to be disagreeable.

That's more like it.
Very good game against a desperate team who should have wanted this game a lot more than us.

Elliott is a stud.

Steen looked very good. He was flying, and created some great chances. Great to have him back. It was a shame about his teeth, but it could have been much, much worse with a skate hitting him in the face. He's lucky, in a way.

Has anyone seen any confirmation on Steen's teeth? Is he out?

I haven't seen anything and was wondering.

It's been confirmed that he lost multiple teeth. No word beyond that.

That's not confirmed.

I would think teeth would go in, when kicked in the mouth, not get sprayed out.

I want those to be his teeth, because that would be awesome*, but we just don't know.

*not awesome that he lost teeth, just that it happened in such a spectacular and hardcore manner. Part of the enjoyment of hockey, for me anyway, is watching these guys pay the ultimate price to win. It's part of the appeal. And seeing someone spray teeth all over the ice in slow motion is pretty "metal".
