I just found this funny. I mean yes it sucks to get shot with silly string when your on the road. But it sucks even more to get beat up by a young girl in a mascot costume. Just sayin.

Maybe it's just me, but I think getting sprayed by silly string is pretty lame. I'd probably be annoyed. Not to the point of violence, but seriously... that's not cool. It also sends a really bad message to the other fans in attendance when team employees are mocking and spraying chemicals on opposing teams fans.

I got a problem with the Lightning staff for this. Guy paid for a ticket to the game. He entered into a contract, with all kinds of rights reserved by the Lightning for the use of the seat. I'm pretty sure it didn't say we could come around and spray garbage in his face and taunt him.

Yeah. I pretty much agree. I mean, it's not a real big deal, but is spraying somebody with silly string really funny enough to warrant pissing off a paying customer?

Pretty sure the Blues have a small staff that pose as opposing fans. That's the way to go.

As a fan of the away team, this shit would piss me off something fierce. I try to be non-confrontational, generally speaking, but for (Frank) sake if I paid for a ticket to sit in a seat and watch a game, I expect to field trash talk from the home fans but not be sprayed with (Franking) silly string by an employee of the organization my money is going to.

I've found that Rangers fans tend to not be overly aggressive, but they will trash talk you after a loss.

Islanders fans, they are colossal douchebags.

And I guess it turned out that the fan wasn't ejected, he was just talked to and allowed to return to his seat.

Justice has been served in Southern Florida.

According to 10 News in Tampa, the Tampa Bay Lightning have fired the woman who had been playing the team's mascot, "Thunder Bug." The decision comes just a week after the mascot had an altercation with a Boston Bruins fan.

Thunder Bug irked a B's fan at the Tampa Bay Times Forum when she sprayed the fan with silly string. This prompted the Bruins fan to get out his seat and charge after the mascot. According to the report, team officials spoke with the fan on the concourse following the incident before allowing him to return to his seat.

The Lightning told 10 News that the incident did play into the decision, but it wasn't the sole reason for the employee's dismissal.
