According to the rules, spin-o-ramas on penalty shots and in shootouts, technically, shouldn't count if the puck ends up going in.

That used to be the rule, but the doesn't have to be moving forward anymore.

And wow...usually people are kissing Jim Hughson's ass...don't usually hear someone say he is the worst in the history of sports.
I think he's ok...certainly nothing outstanding.

I assume he said something you didn't like during the Hawks-Canucks finals a couple years ago?

I know he rubbed me the wrong way when the Blues played the Canucks in the first round a few years ago.

The playoff series' of the past 3 years certainly haven't helped, but my dislike for Houghson goes back 10+ years. I mean I have no problem with a local broadcaster being a little homer-ish...you should favor the team that's paying you on a local broadcast. My problems with Houghson and Shorthouse are that they take homerism to a new level. You'd think Alex Burrows was a Lady Byng finalist every year and everyone else is just being mean to him. He also needs to get off of high horse with the whole Canada/USA thing.

In short, I feel like those guys are a perfect match for the Canucks fan base.
