What really annoys me about their 3rd goal is that they said they confirmed the ruling on the ice. The ruling on the ice was no goal, or at least no call. If they counted it because they didn't have evidence to overturn it, that pisses me off.

That being said, it probably was a good goal.

Why in the FRANK is Shattenkirk, a righty, lining up on the right behind the faceoff guy in the Avs zone? Instead of a one time slapshot off the draw he barely gets a wrist shot on. Brilliant. Absolutely f*cking brilliant.

They're playing hard but just not smart... I don't how to classify it.

About 3/4 of our shots were in Giguere's crest, or from a half mile away with nobody crashing the net. With the exception of Oshie, every time I saw a juicy rebound pop out (and there were more than a few) nobody was there to shovel it in. And regardless, shots from Mars are extremely low percentage. Makes the shot category seem a lot less meaningful tonight.

We made the Avs look like an all-star team tonight. Absolutely non-existent power play and loads of sloppy passes and turnovers. And any way you slice it, when you lose a game on a goal scored like THAT... the whole night just leaves a bitter taste.

Good side of it was that I thought the Blues were the better team. If Elliott doesn't make that ridiculous pass and if Petro and D'ags don't slide into Elliott while that puck rolls in slow motion, the Blues probably win this game. You're going to lose every now and then, just don't make it a habit.

He didn't look up. He decided what he was going to do and put his head down.
Had he looked up, he had a wide open side. He never saw it.

That's a knock on Berglund. He tends to put his head down for an extended period of time when he has the puck...which would be fine if he was converting on chances this season.

I'm not against making a trade to improve the team, but I wouldn't make any trade decisions based on one game...especially when they have been playing extremely well.

It's one game man. You're not going to win them all...and even if we had the best lineup in the league, we're still going to lose every now and then.

We didn't play a bad game. It was back and forth most of the game. We'd have great pressure, then the AVS would have great pressure. All three of the Avs goals were flukey, goofy goals. Colorado should actually feel lucky they won and lucky they scored any goals at all.

- The first goal pinballed in off of two players. The deflection was going way wide, but it goes off of Petro's skate and right in the net.
- The second goal was a gift after Elliot whifs on a pass (rare, since he is a good puckhandler) and it goes right to an Avs player who scored.
- The second goal went in when half the players on the ice crashed into Elliot and the puck barely trickles across the line.

Colorado gets credit for playing a good game, but the goals they scored were weird. It could have easily been a shutout for Elliot.
I'm upset we lost the game, but not upset at the way we played.

Flukey loss if you ask me.

Berglund needs to keep his head up. He passed up a wide open net with the puck on his stick and a chance to tie the game late because he wanted to go behind the net for some reason. Ugh.

This is a game where the power play needed to come through. You have a couple goofy goals go in against...and the power play needed to retaliate and win the game for us after we battled back to tie it up.

I want to see an angle of the puck going in before the net comes off on that 3rd goal. If it's ruled nothing on the ice, they should need conclusive evidence that it went in...I didn't see it. It was close, but you couldn't tell for sure either way with the angles they showed us. I want to know why they ruled that a goal.

if pie and d'ags didn't dived i think elliot would've gotten the pads on the soft goal. Our power play needs to be fixed, for outplaying the opponent for the last 40 minutes, thats a really disappointing loss.

That was my thought exactly. After all the other fluky crap, all we needed to do was convert on one of four power plays.
