Re: Huskins
Sadly, yes. With Jackman's play last night though, I would rather have seen Chorney out there.

Re: Huskins
What about Cade Fairchild? +13 in the AHL. Maybe he should get some ice time in Jackman's place.

Re: Huskins
After the last couple of games, I think Jackman needs to be a healthy scratch for a game or two, seems like he's just making some poor decisions.

Every time I hear the name Huskins I think of Porkins from Star Wars.
Re: Huskins
I hope things go better for Huskins then they did for Porkins. As I recall things went downhill shortly after that photo was taken.kodos wrote:

So is Kris Russell - 5' 10 - 180glen a richter wrote:Fairchild is too small for the NHL
Fairchild - 5' 11 - 175. Besides, he is only 22 (3 years younger than Russell) and should put on more weight.
I don't buy the size argument any more after we realized how good Weaver (5' 9 - 188) was killing penalties. And I am still not buying it with Russell already having scored 3 goals in 8 games as a Blue.

Re: Huskins
Paul Kariya anyone?
Especially post-lockout with a much greater emphasis on puck movement, speed and creativity (translated: Europeanized), players don't have to be that big anymore to play in the NHL. If anything, bigger guys have more of a handicap if they can't keep up with the speed and are only good for bruising. The demise of the "enforcer only" role should be solid evidence of that. Truth is: you have to be able to skate and be marginally useful to play. Period. Even fighters.
