I have a soft-spot in my heart for Cam Janssen, but whatever. I won't miss him.

And we had a soft-spot in our line up with him on the roster.

Blues Sign Crombeen to 2-Year Extension
Wednesday, 06.22.2011 / 2:53 PM / News
St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Wednesday the club has re-signed forward B.J. Crombeen to a two-year contract extension.

“B.J. has been a true professional for the Blues organization on and off the ice,” said Armstrong. “His gritty play and leadership qualities fit in well with our mix of players.”

Crombeen, 25, has spent the majority of the past three seasons with the Blues including playing in a career high 80 games in 2010-11 recording 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) and 154 penalty minutes.

Overall, the 6’2, 214-pound forward has appeared in 248 games in his four-year National Hockey League (NHL) career totaling 53 points (26 goals, 27 assists) to go along with 509 penalty minutes.

The Denver, Colorado native was originally drafted by Dallas in the second round, 54th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Blues on November 18, 2008.
Terms not announced yet.

D'Agostini was not given a qualifying offer by today's deadline, so he could be a UFA on Friday. Sounds like the Blues didn't want to go to arbitration, which Army called 'inflationary' and wanted to pay him based on his entire body of work. They can still re-sign him between now and then.

Dude scored 21 goals last year, hopefully he'll be back. Will be interesting to see if he can duplicate that success.

This team can't afford to lose his 20 goals, as sad as that sounds.

A team full of 20 goal scorers is better than a team of 1 or 2 high end scorers.

If only we had even that. We had 5 guys that reached 20 goals, only 1 of those made it over 30. Is that a team full?

Obviously the team does not believe he can, that's enough for me.

Yes, but without DP, missing TJ a lot of the year and with Stewart less then half the season, we still finished 10th in goals scored.

And with Stewie getting some chemistry with a line will up his already amazing numbers last half year.

Cam Barker on waivers. Do the Blues take a shot? His production has plummeted since he peaked with 40 points with the Blackhawks a few years ago. But he's a former top 5 picks, he's only 25...

I say hell yeah!!! And I think we should make a run at Tyler Kennedy from the Pens who will be a UFA Friday too. I was bummed that D'Ags wasn't qualified, he had a great year, but one year does not make a season.

I guess now its "In Army we trust."
