I say that goal should have been called offsides too.California Blues wrote:He should be.Portland Blues wrote:So, will Burrows, A.K.A. Hannibal Lecter, be suspended for the next game(s)?

Colin Campbell already stepped down as the NHL Enforcement dude, because of the conflict of interest. A group of NHL VPs will hand down any suspensions for the Final.Portland Blues wrote:There was an article I read today with some journalist already claiming the Canucks were going to receive unfair calls due to Campbell "rooting" for Boston.

Now the vocal minority will claim since Shanahan had all of his success with an American-based team he'll obviously be anti-Canadian when making decisions.theohall wrote:Colin Campbell already stepped down as the NHL Enforcement dude, because of the conflict of interest. Brendan Shanahan is rumoured to be his eventual replacement.

And nothing. I think it's great he's taking the job. I was saying that the loud, whiny Vancouver fans will switch from claiming bias by Campbell to a new imagined bias (probably under orders from Bettman) by Shanahan.DaDitka wrote:Portland Blues wrote:

And???
In all honesty, I know NHL Radio on Sirius was reporting it's a 'done deal' with Shanahan taking over those duties, and I think he'll do a pretty good job (but only time will tell)
Shanny will not do anything because it is not his call until next season starts.Portland Blues wrote:Now the vocal minority will claim since Shanahan had all of his success with an American-based team he'll obviously be anti-Canadian when making decisions.theohall wrote:Colin Campbell already stepped down as the NHL Enforcement dude, because of the conflict of interest. Marc Savard of the Bruins bit Darcy Tucker and got one game. If the evidence is clear, then I expect maybe one game.Guppy wrote:Shanny will not do anything because it is not his call until next season starts.Portland Blues wrote:Now the vocal minority will claim since Shanahan had all of his success with an American-based team he'll obviously be anti-Canadian when making decisions.theohall wrote:Colin Campbell already stepped down as the NHL Enforcement dude, because of the conflict of interest. If the league does not fine/suspend Burrows then it is fine to bite. But Ruutu did it a few years ago and got two games. I don't know what Burrows' record is but I am sure he has had something before since he is such a pussy.
And Shanahan being a Canadian would just show they are a bunch of pansies who need to be pounded into submission.Portland Blues wrote:Now the vocal minority will claim since Shanahan had all of his success with an American-based team he'll obviously be anti-Canadian when making decisions.theohall wrote:Colin Campbell already stepped down as the NHL Enforcement dude, because of the conflict of interest. Mike Murphy says--"After reviewing the incident, including speaking with the on-ice officials, I can find no conclusive evidence that Alex Burrows intentionally bit the finger of Patrice Bergeron."
