Congratulations Ruutu15

Post by kodos »

Congrats on the Hawks winning. You are a true fan that stuck with them through a lot of lean years. You're a good guy and you deserve to enjoy this.

To the Blackhawks themselves and the rest of the Hawks fans... go f*** yourself! Die in a fire.

That is all.

Thanks! I never thought I'd see this day. All of those games in the United Center with 5,000 other people, having my entire section (324) to myself....Bill Wirtz...never ever thought I'd see this, honestly.

+1 to all that.

Hate all things Hawks or connected to the Hawks, but I'm glad to see Ruutu15's fandom be rewarded.

On another note, the post-goal antics of Kane made me somehow like that guy even less. Before he opened his mouth, Kane looked like a real douchebag out there. His interview confirmed it.

Ya I remember hearing ..."Holy crap"...and then the announcer saying "Don't do anything stupid" and his comment "Ya, right...". Taxi cab rides are on Kane tonight.

I have to admit, as much as I like Kane as a player, I think he's a total d-bag personally. Glad he scored the goal to win the cup, but he's the total opposite of Toews, who is a class act.

Yup.

Don't know why, but I even found that mullet getting my blood pressure up. Can't explain why. It's like he wasn't wearing the mullet for the love of a good wholesome mullet, but wearing the mullet just to be an asshole.

Congrats Ruutu... I'm happy for you...but screw the Hawks.

A lot of Blues fans think their day will never come as well...same as you felt. So that is something to look forward to...maybe.

Hopefully we'll get there sometime soon. I think Blues fans have earned it ten times over.

I felt bad, in a way...the winning goal wasn't a sure thing right away. Kane and a couple Hawks knew it was in, but Mike Emerick had no clue, neither did the camera man. Emerick was still calling the play like the puck was along the boards when Kane was celebrating. It wasn't until Kane almost got back to center when Emerick realized the puck was in the net. I didn't know it was in either. Kind of anti-climactic, you think play is going on, and then all of a sudden you're like...oh...it went in 5 seconds ago? I didn't see it. And then they reviewed it...it kind of took away from the instant moment of delirious excitement of seeing the puck go in the net in overtime to clinch the Stanley Cup.

I hope the radio call was better for you guys...because Emerick's call won't be on any highlight videos.

Yea I felt the same Curt. First it was awkward silence then I'm confused then I see Kane flipping his gloves off it's like "wait, wha?" Very anti-climatic and even moreso in Philly. That house was dead quiet and suddenly the Hawks are jumping up and down. Very awkward- not how you imagine a cup winning goal being scored.

Perhaps shout outs to his lovers back in Buffalo, where he plans on hitting a taxi cab driver with the stanley cup?

Congrats Ruutu15.

The bandwagoning Hawks fans and the Hawks themselves (aside from Toews--UND product) can eat a dick.

Seriously, congrats Ruutu. We don't talk all that much on here, but I'm happy you got to see your team hoist the Cup. Must be an awesome feeling. Celebrate the crap out of this thing. It's teams and fans like the Hawks (the ones who stuck by in the lean years, that is) who deserve this kind of thing. You understand how hard it is for your team to win the best trophy in all of sports. I'm jealous of you guys, but in a good way. You get to experience what every hockey fan wants to experience--your team winning the Cup. Enjoy it!

:plusplus: to this thread. Can't believe this friggin Hawks team with Quenneville won the Cup. And Kane scores the winning goal? FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU

I'm just glad my co-worker from Chicago is out of the office all week. I'm sure I'll be hearing about this on Monday though.

Toews wins the Cup, and Oshie gives a horrible drunken interview at UND. What a great season for Blues fans.

Dude. The Blues got two out of the three people on that line (Duncan, Oshie). Are you suggesting they chose poorly?
