Yeah... good for you. ;)

I don't know about everyone else, but as they were skating around with that cup, I just pictured the day the we were hoisting it over our heads and it made me smile a little bit. I can't wait till that day.

I fear that day will never come. But hell if Chicago can win it...

I think the Blackhawks have surpassed the Cubs in Championships.

Except the Blues haven't been as gifted in landing top 3 NHL draft selections.

Empty the ship for Bruins' 2nd overall!!!

is the Conn Smythe a trophy winners can keep forever, and they make a new one each year? Or, is it passed on each year?

I watched Toews get the trophy, and it didn't seem like he was interested in it. He wanted to get to the cup ASAP.

Unfortunately we weren't that bad- the best team to not make the playoffs. Zero consolation and the 14th overall pick without even a shot at the cup. Oh well.

Roenick tearing up after the game, on NBC. What did everyone think? Poignant moment or a crybaby, get-over-it moment?

I gotta say, I think it was more poignant than anything. I think that as a broadcaster, it's not something you want to do or have on your resume. But as a former player for a team that you gave your heart and soul for, failing to win the Cup and then watching it unfold in front of you--it's completely understandable. He was a guy who always wore his emotions on his sleeve.

I hated...absolutely HATED Roenick as a player when he was on the Hawks.
He was cocky and he was good and he played with a lot of emotion...he was easy to dislike being a member of the Blues' biggest rival.
With that said, you have to appreciate his passion, loyalty and honesty.
He's a guy I would have loved to have had on my team.

This was absolutely not a crybaby moment. It just shows how much that organization means to him.

Roenick is cool in my book...even though he is a former Hawk douchebag.

Amen Curt. I think the thing of it, to me, is that it shows just how much that Cup means to these guys. I mean, say 10 years down the line, Keith Tkachuk is doing studio work and the Blues win the Cup and he does the same thing. We would all love him for doing it, even the guys who didn't like Tkachuk. It's not like these guys didn't try, they just wound up short of the ultimate prize.

I thought that was absolutely incredible and awesome. When he said that bit about the kid who was crying when they left the ice in '92 in the Cup Finals, that was awesome too.

That was great to see, honestly. It just goes to show that even though you might play for many organizations during your tenure (Flyers too in Roenick's case) there are some that just stick with you and meant a lot to you and seeing that from Roenick was a great thing to see.

His years with the Blackhawks were before I became a Blues fan, I wasn't even in my teens yet, so I never hated the guy and actually found his attitude's and rants towards the media and others pretty funny actually.
