Phoenix not scoring on the 5 on 3 and then giving up a goal with 4 seconds left isn't helping much.

It's like watching the Blues.

If it's Pittsburgh and Detroit in the finals again, I think I'm gonna vomit.

I have Washington and San Jose going to the Finals in my full paper bracket but with their play the first round (and hell, assuming the Caps even win tonight), I really don't know.

3 of the 4 Western Conference teams are 2nd round repeaters though which is interesting.

Alex Ovechkin is a soft Euro until further notice. Keep making the Top Ten Plays of the Night, though. You'll always have that.

Ok I can not really cheer for anyone who advanced to the next round. Well maybe Boston.

philco... I'm with you. I want Boston to win the whole damn thing now. This means that they won't, of course...

Philly would be my 2nd choice, followed by the Canucks.

I actually wouldn't care if the Hawks won because it might light a fire under this organization's turdpipe to get some shit done.

My hopes for round 2 based on which team I dislike more:

Chicago vs Vancouver - Have hated the Canucks for years. Go Chicago.

San Jose vs Detroit - Er, go Sharks.

Pens vs Habs - Tired of Crosby. Go Montreal.

Boston vs Philly - This should be fun to watch. Go either team.

Whoa! I thought the Caps were going to make some noise in the playoffs, I just didn't think that noise would be a thud! I also cannot believe that I had to witness defensive play worst than ours! The Caps HAVE to be ready to deal for a steady defenseman no doubt. We have two incredibly steady ones named Brewer and Jackman. ;)

After the Habs defensively dismantled the Capitals, I want them to win the whole thing.

And then, after that, I want Halak to say that he'd rather be a Blue. Of course the minute he dons the note, there go the 40+ save performances and enters the sub .900 save percentage and 3.00 GAA's.

Here's a tidbit on Halak: 9th round, 271st overall, 2003 draft. What the HELL are the Blues doing wrong???

Same year, Blues draft the following standout goalies in earlier rounds: Konstantin Barulin, Becky Sue.

This coming from a Blues fan?

Really? You should know better than that.

We've had more than one Halak in the past. Namely off the top of my head Brent Johnson and Roman Turek.

Here's some from other teams- Giguere, Hiller, Ward... the list is endless. Some guys turn it on in the playoffs then proceed to suck it up down the line or had been before the playoffs.

Now someone like Broduer, Roy or even as of late Boucher (streaky but proven solid) are guys to talk about, not Halak.
