One hour until game time and no one has started a GDT for the Hawks so I'll use this even though the date is wrong. Go Blues? Don't lose? If we lose we're toast? Whoo hoo.

It's really hard psyching yourself up for this game, even though its the Hawks.

My impressions, whatever negligable value they are worth:

* The speed was awesome tonight, everyone was flying out there (to the extent it was possible)

* VERY impressed with Brewer tonight. He faced Kane and Toews on one on one's and buried them to the side boards. Awesome. Kept his feet moving and did well tonight.

* Defense in general- What the EFF was with all the fast breaks for the Hawks? Sharp looks like he's making a career out of breakaways and there were just too many sloppy turnovers where the forwards did not get back in time (e.g. Hossa's rebound goal. WHERE were the forwards backchecking? Nobody within 10 feet of the guy) They gotta keep that 3rd forward high and not get caught so low.

* EJ's goal was total luck. He made a hell of a play to pinch at exactly the right moment and get that shot off- THAT part of it was beautiful, but his shot? Low and slightly to the right. From what I saw, total whiff on Niemi's part and it slid through five hole. Whatever. Goal. Count it. Beautiful play.

* WE WINZ TEH HOCKIES AGAIN!!!
