I don't mean to preach the obvious but that really hurt tonight. Minnesota has a breath of fresh life, Nashville won pushing them to 81 points and the Flames are a team ablaze.

Not good.

Frustrating but not insurmountable loss.

How many points will the 8th seed in the West have this year? I think 92 is the magic number this year. We have 14 games remaining (8 home, 6 away) and sit at 73 points today. We would need to go something like 9-4-1 or 8-2-3 in our remaining games to make it to 92 points. While both are lofty records, neither are impossible, as evidenced by our recent play. It will certainly come down to our final couple games if we can squeak in though.

We have three games remaining against Nashville who currently sits 8 points ahead of us in the 7th spot. We also have a game remaining against Detroit next week. We really need to win those four games where we can really gain ground on two of the three teams in 7th-9th place currently.

This will be a fun final month of hockey hopefully!

Yea forgot about that- that changes things quite a bit. Now THOSE will be the "must wins" so far we've just had the "really really need to wins."

This loss would have been devastating had Calgary won.

Still very disappointing not being able to take advantage of a Calgary loss and gain ground.

I'm worried about the upcoming series of games. There are some really tough games coming up.
