Paul Kariya cannot skate with the puck. Paul Kariya cannot pass. I'm just sayin...

I caught the first two periods and bits and pieces of the 3rd.
Through the first half of the game, if you had cut out the goals and just showed me the rest of the action, I would have thought we'd be winning. I thought the Blues played quite well the first half of the game.
If we could learn to hit the net, maybe we'd have won this game. Way too many missed chances and shots that were blocked. And then Colorado capitalized on their opportunities and Budaj made some nice saves when he had to.
The 3rd period I didn't get to see much of, but I assume it wasn't good.

Frustrating game.
We were probably outshooting them 12-1 midway through the 3rd period when we gave up a 2-on-1 and Mason let in a softie between his legs. I though the effort was there, just the finishing and defensive play was lacking.
One thing I did notice was Jackman once again anticipating a pass to the corner, so he left the front of the net leaving Stewart wide open to deflect in the shot/pass from the top of the circle. Jackman has to be the dumbest player on the ice. Now Polak was caught up by the blueline and McClement was in the high slot, but you can't leave a guy alone in front of the net when the other team has the puck.

Yeah, he's been slipping a little bit these last few games.
How many shutouts at home is that now? 3? Ridiculous.
Like Curt said, tons of chances, no finishing. Tons of rebounds with empty nets and nobody on the doorstep to bang them in. How many friggin shots went high or wide??
I joked a few times that the ghost of Jamal Mayers was back on the ice.
I can't really name a single player for the Blues that played well last night. Lousy passing, slow to loose pucks, very little intensity or hitting. The Avs backchecked like crazy and the Blues couldn't control the puck. Add some defensive breakdowns and lousy play by Mason. What a terrible game.

Does anyone else find this redundant... yet hysterical?

I never thought I could find a team that finished worse than some of those teams that featured Weight as their best offensive player and Mike Eastwood in a prominant role.
I was wrong.
It's amazing how poorly this team finished scoring chances.

It could always be worse, I could be a Cubs fan. (But please, if you could spare me the parallels between the respective organizations, I'd really appreciate it).
